The Olde Burnside Brewing Company of East Hartford Connecticut and Dicey Riley, the Celtic Rock band from Northampton, Massachusetts, have joined forces to create a BRILLIANT collection of
Celtic Rock drinking songs!

John McLaughlin, lead singer/drummer of Dicey Riley says

“While we don’t actually make any money from the CDs that are given away by Olde Burnside we still get a lot out of this deal. First off, we get a great CD that he can still sell on our own if we want to. Secondly, and more importantly, our CD will get distributed for free in large numbers all over New England. Like all musicians we want to be heard. This accomplishes the goal of actually getting our music to the people.

Dicey Riley is :
Frank  Toscannini on Pipes
Katherine First on Irish fiddle
Michael Jennings on guitar
Danny Richards on bass
John McLaughlin, drums and lead vocals

The CD will be distributed at the

 FREE

 Pipes In The Valley Celtic Music Festival September 27, 2008.

for a minimal contribution of $5

'Ten Penny Ale'

performed by

Dicey Riley & Friends

Sing along and be ready for the Festival !!!

Sung to the tune of "The Wearing of the Green"

Over in East Hartford, In the Burnside side of town

An ancient well bring water up, From well beneath the ground.

At first they built an ice house, It's prospered all these years;

But now they're doing better boys, They're brewing up some beer!

(Repeat Chorus Twice)

Drink "Ten Penny Ale!", Drink "Ten Penny Ale;"

The beer that's from the Burnside Boys,

It's water from the well.

For years at the old ice house, You could buy water too;

Home brewers came from miles around, For water for their brew.

One day Big Bob took notice, Of all the water sales;

Big Bob he had a grand idea - , They'll make "Ten Penny Ale!"

  (Repeat Chorus twice) (Fiddle then Bagpipe instrumental)
  Drink "Ten Penny Ale!", Drink "Ten Penny Ale;"
  The beer that's from the Burnside Boys,
  It's water from the well.

  So when you hear the piper, And feel the call of brew,

  Order a "Ten Penny" lad, Or maybe order two!

  'Cause over in East Hartford, Olde Burnside brews a brew

  With crystal water from the well, The best of olde and new!

  (Repeat Chorus Twice)  (Fiddle then Bagpipe instrumental)
  Drink "Ten Penny Ale!", Drink "Ten Penny Ale;"
  The beer that's from the Burnside Boys,
  It's water from the well.
